PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND COME PREPARED

Hodge Exhibit Building

Chair: Jeff McEvoy 603-554-2471

jeffmcevoy3@gmail.com

  • Please visit the fair website prior to arrival and fill out the new entry form SPECIFICALLY FOR THE PHOTO COMPETITION. This will minimize the time you need to spend filling it out on site. There will still be some items to be taken care of at the registration table.

  • Entries must be checked in at the Hodge Building between Thursday, Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m. or Friday, Oct. 10, from 1-3 p.m. (Please note: No vehicles will be allowed on the Fairgrounds after 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10th)  Closed judging will take place immediately after check-in ends.

PLEASE NOTE: Late entries cannot be accepted.

  • Entries must be picked up between 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Entries will not be released prior to the 5:00 p.m. fair closing time. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE EARLY.

  • IMPORTANT: In order for entry to be accepted, the following rules must be followed. No glass or frames permitted. Photos may vary in image size but MUST be matted or mounted to 11” X 14”.  The complete and final size must be 11’ X 14”. Please note that entries may be hung with a binder clip so matting is best. NEED CLARIFICATION? Text, email or call PRIOR to drop off of your entry to eliminate refusal of your entry.

  • Due to space limitations, no more than 10 entries per entrant may be submitted and only 1 entry per category.

  • The exhibitor's full name and phone number must be clearly written on the back of each entry.

  • Judging is blind. No names are permitted on the front of the photo as the entry remains anonymous for judging. Show tags will be filled out with category, description of photo, your name, your hometown and state but will be hidden behind the photo during judging. Tags available at check in or in advance at the fair office.

  • Photographs will be judged on composition, technical excellence, artistic creativity and how well the photograph fits the category.

  • Nude or suggestive photos will not be accepted.

  • Please do not enter photos that have previously won at the Sandwich Fair.

  • If there are any entries in question, the Chairman will have the final say in which category placement is appropriate.

  • Judging will be performed by two professional independent judges. In the event of a tie, the Chairman will break the tie.
