Maple Honey and Dairy

Hodge Exhibit Hall

  • Entries must be delivered between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. Friday and picked up between
    5:00 and 6:30 p.m. Monday.
  • No exhibitor shall compete against himself. Children (14 years old and under) are welcomed and will be judged in a Junior Division
  • Name of exhibitor should not be on the item.

CARLISLE TROPHY - First, Second and Third Maple Syrup Prize winners at Sandwich Fair are eligible to enter the statewide competition for the Lawrence A. Carlisle Memorial Trophy awarded annually by the NH Producers' Association for excellence in the production of Maple Syrup.Exhibits are considered, however, ONLY when put up in #2 or 2 POUND HONEY JARS. Otherwise, exhibits can compete for Sandwich Fair prizes only.  NOTE: The Trophy will be limited to one trophy per family and/or evaporator.

Honey Products

Extracted honey must be displayed in 1 lb. glass queenline containers with metal or plastic lids. Chunk honey and creamed honey must be in either 1 lb. or 2 ½ lb. wide mouth round or square jars. In all classes, 3 samples must be exhibited in each class. (Exception - frame of honey and beeswax classes.)
