The Sugar Hill Snubbers Lawn Tractor Pullers will be pulling at the fair! They also get together throughout the summer to pull a specially designed transfer sled. All pulling is done strictly for fun and, as such, there are no cash prizes awarded. There are 4 different classes, ranging from “Stock” to full “Customized Open” tractors. The motors in all classes are kept stock and air cooled, but we do remove the governors ( except in the “Stock” class) and mufflers to make the show more exciting for the competitors and spectators alike.
Classes:
1. STOCK: 1,000 pound limit
3800 RPM motor limit
4 MPH speed limit
Quite common to see younger drivers in this class
2. 8” tractors use 8” wheels
18 HP max. Briggs and Stratton Motor
750 pound limit
Small wheels and lighter weight make this class exciting to watch
3. 12” tractors use 12” wheels
18 HP max of any motor (Briggs, Kohler, Onan, Kawasaki)
1,000 pound limit
Probably the most competitive class, these tractor can pull some serious weight.
4. OPEN: 25 HP max. of any motor or combination of motors
may use custom fabricated chassis’s
1,000 pound limit
This class has some very creative looking tractors and they also put on a great show.
